Before the Throne of God Above
Before the throne of God above
I have a strong, a perfect plea:
A great High Priest, whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on his hands,
My name is written on his heart;
I know that while in heaven he stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart
No tongue can bid me thence depart.
When Satan tempts me to despair,
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look, and see him there
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because a sinless Savior died,
My sinful soul is counted free;
For God, the Just, is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me
To look on Him and pardon me

Exposed

My personal adaptation of Theodore Roosevelt's great qote,

"It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points out how the strong man stumbled, or where the doer of the deeds could have done them better. The true victory is awarded to the man whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who fails miserably, and falls short again and again, because there is no growth without failure; yet even in failure victory is grasped by the man who actually strives to do the deeds, not just talk about them all day; who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who experiences great love and who makes great sacrifices; who spends himself entirely in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of God in his life, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who waste their lives knowing neither victory not defeat."

Failure is never final when faith is your foundation.
